There's a student wana pay $1000 for a hello-world type 8051 program.
After I did some research, I think
"SimLab 8051" is pretty good for beginner.
"PROTEUS's VSM for 8051" is better if you want to use your own circuit layout.

my mom's email software (outlook express) out of work
the reason is because there's email which has only headers but not body.
when use dos to telnet to port 110 and use retr to get those emails, the connection will be disconnected.
but you can use "top 24 10" to check email#24.
then use "dele 24" to delete it.
I think it's because she didn't have outlook express patched.
